Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2093388A1] The device (5) has a rotor (6) connected firmly with a set of cam shafts (2) and a stator (7) coupled with a drive device, where an axial borehole (10) of the rotor receives a shaft section (11) of the cam shaft. The axial borehole of the rotor surrounded by the stator is continued in an axial extension (12) over width of the device. The rotor and the extension form a hub (13) for enclosing firmly the cam shaft. A set of camshaft bearings (21, 31, 32) with the hub forms a prolonged reinforcement to increase the flexural rigidity of the cam shaft. An independent claim is also included for an internal-combustion engine with an adjusting device and a tubular hollow cam shaft.
