Abstract (en)

The controller (100) has an output module (10-6) for controlling an actuator (10-7), and an input module (10-4) for receiving signal generator information. A set of modules is connected with each other by plug-in connectors, and a mechanical coding is provided between adjacent modules, which permit assembling of modules only corresponding to the coding. The mechanical coding is formed by coding-edge connections, which consist of a multipolar plug, and a socket connected to the plug. Each pole is formed by a pin, and the coding is formed such that one of the pins is changed in the plug. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing and examining a modular safety controller.

Abstract (de)

Die Erfindung betrifft eine modulare Sicherheitssteuerung, mit wenigstens einem Ausgangsmodul zur Ansteuerung eines Aktors, wenigstens einem Eingangsmodul zur Aufnahme von Signalgeberinformation, wenigstens einem weiteren Modul, wobei die Module über elektrische Steckverbindungen zu einer Modulreihe miteinander verbindbar sind. Um eine kostengünstige und leistungsfähige Sicherheitssteuerung bereitzustellen, welche auch im Falle der Wartung und Reparatur dem Anwender eine möglichst hohe Sicherheit bei gleichbleibend einfacher Bedienung ermöglicht, wird vorgeschlagen, dass mittels Codier-Steckverbindungen eine mechanische Codierung zwischen benachbarten Modulen vorgesehen ist, die ein Zusammenstecken der Module nur entsprechend der Codierung erlaubt.
