[origin: WO2008061382A1] A cam shaft assembly comprises a shaft (2) having functional components (14, 15, 16) disposed thereon, however comprising at least one cam (3) and at least two bearing blocks (4), each having one bearing support (9), in which a shaft section is rotatably disposed. A plane contact surface (10) is configured on each bearing block (4) for supporting and fastening the bearing block (4) to a bearing surface of a cylinder head. The cam shaft assembly (1) is a composite arrangement, wherein the shaft (2) is produced as a separate individual part, and the cam (3), and if necessary further functional components (14, 15, 16), are produced as separate individual parts mounted on the shaft (2), and at least one bearing block (4) is disposed between two functional parts (3, 14, 15, 16) on the shaft (2), wherein the bearing blocks (4) are configured as undivided bearing blocks (4), and the contact surfaces (10) of the bearing blocks are disposed on the shaft in a plane and rotating manner such that all bearing surfaces (10) can be aligned in one plane.
