[origin: EP2095756A2] The device (10) has a brush roller (13) supported in a frame (16) in a rotatably movable manner. A longitudinal axis (L) of the brush roller is aligned parallel to a shoe sole plane, and the frame is arranged in a housing. The roller is mechanically, solely displaced into rotations (R, S) during treading of the device by a drive. The brush roller comprises a toothed wheel (17) at the longitudinal axis, where the wheel is engaged into a gear rod (18). A relative movement of the roller to the gear rod displaces the roller in rotation, and the longitudinal axis comprises a friction roller.
