[origin: EP2095906A1] The device (1) has an eccentric drive (9) fastened at a carrier (5) for producing oscillation movements of a carriage (7). A tool carrier (10) is fastened to the carriage, and the drive has a numerically-controlled (NC) servo drive with an output shaft, which reversibly moves with a pivoting angle. A carriage guide (8) is arranged at a rotary plate (17), which is fastened to the carrier and is rotatable around an axis coaxial to the shaft. The carrier has an adjusting device for linear adjustment of a finishing stone retainer (11) transverse to a movement direction of the carriage.
