Abstract (en)
In order to prevent increase of bubbles in the neighborhood of an ink supply port when the pressure in an ink chamber is returned to atmospheric air pressure, an ink cartridge (100) has an ink supply valve (90). The ink supply valve (90) is accommodated in a valve accommodating chamber (54) formed at the lower portion of a front wall (34) side of a main body (40). An ink supply chamber (107) is provided at the back side of the valve accommodating chamber (54). The valve accommodating chamber (54) and the ink supply chamber (107) communicates with each other through a hole (110). An ink flow channel (200) is provided so as to extend from the ink supply chamber (107) along the bottom surface (171) of the ink chamber (102). The ink flow channel (200) extends to the back wall (35). A hole (203) for leading ink from the ink chamber (102) to the ink flow channel (200) is formed at one end side in the direction to the back wall.
