[origin: EP2096207A1] The former (1) has a dehydration element (11) arranged in a lower side of a screen (4) and dehydrating a fiber suspension (3) applied on an upper side of the screen. A suction former roller (20) downstream to the dehydration element is arranged in a screen loop (5) of the screen. The former roller has a suction zone (Z20.1) subjected with a controllable/regulatable low pressure and a roller diameter in a range of 1.000 t0 1.400 millimeters. The suction zone is completely or partially covered by an upper lip (22) that is curved and arranged at a front wall (10) of a headbox (9).
