[origin: EP2096236A2] A modular parapet (1) providing temporary protection against accidental falls from structures (2) equipped with fixed, long anchoring elements (5) comprises a protective barrier (3) in the form of a framework, at least one supporting upright (4) that can be associated with a corresponding anchoring element (5), and means (6; 8, 9) for attaching the barrier (3) to each upright (4) rigidly but in such a way that they can be adjusted relative to each other.
