Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2909293A1] The device has electrodes (4, 6) forming a plane and including two edges which are opposite to each other, so that a line of contact (20) of a liquid drop or inclusion (2) has a tangent to form an angle which ranges between zero degree and 90 degrees with the edges in projection in the plane of the electrodes. The line of contact of the drop is arranged on the device and is fixed with respect to the device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for forming a flow or vortex in a liquid drop (2) a method for microfluidically concentrating of a liquid drop (3) a method for forming a micro-emulsion (4) a method for pumping a secondary fluid (5) a method extracting an analyte of a liquid drop (6) a method for extracting a particle.
