[origin: WO2008087331A2] The invention relates to a method for adapting an application that implements safety mechanisms, characterised in that it comprises the following steps: determining at least one context information of the physical environment in which the application is run; determining at least one safety level based on at least one determined said context information; deciding a reconfiguration/non-reconfiguration from at least one comparison between the determined safety level and the current safety level applied by the safety mechanisms; and in case of a positive decision, reconfiguring the application for adapting the application to the determined safety level.
