Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2098998A2] The system (1) has a control center (3) and an access control module (9) that includes a read module (9.1) and an actuating module (9.2). Identification data and access control data e.g. fingerprint, are stored in an identification sensor (8). The control module has a logic module (9.3) compares the data with preset reference data. The data are read by the read module based on authorization of access to an object by the actuating module. The control module controls the actuating module for enabling access to the object, if the correct data are read from the sensor. The access control data are wirelessly read over a radio frequency identification (RFID) chip. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an access control system.
