Abstract (en)
The string (1) has a core (2) including predetermined plastic fibers (4), and a casing (3) arranged around the core. The core has a number of bundles, where each bundle is formed from the plastic fibers. The casing is formed from round wires, which are wound around the core and lie next to each other. The casing has a band (5) with a rectangular cross section. Another casing (6) is wounded around the casing (3) and has a band (7) with a rectangular cross section. The diameter of the round wires is in the range between 0.05 and 0.4 millimeters.

Bei einer Musiksaite (1), insbesondere für Streich- und/oder Zupfinstrumente, wobei die Musiksaite (1) wenigstens einen Kern (2) aufweist, und wobei die Musiksaite (1) wenigstens eine erste Umhüllung (3) aufweist, welche um den ersten Kern (2) herum angeordnet ist, wird zur Erreichen einer hohen Stimmstabilität und eines sauberen und strahlenden Klangs vorgeschlagen, dass der Kern eine vorgebbare Mehrzahl Kunststofffasern (4) umfasst.
