Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2099032A2] The method involves guiding gas flow (G) over a reaction zone (12) with multiple catalytic elements, where the gas flow is added with vapor before entering into the zone. Feed rate of the added vapor is adjusted depending on a characteristic measurement value for current temperature in the zone such that the gas flow has steam quality of 70 percentage per volume and hydrogen content between 3 to 8 percentage per volume during entering into the zone. Another measurement value is provided for current pressure loss in the zone while adjusting the feed rate of the vapor. An independent claim is also included for a recombination system for performing a method for catalytically recombining hydrogen carried in a gas flow with oxygen.
