[origin: EP2099257A2] The hob (10) has a cover plate (44) made of glass, glass ceramic or ceramic. An upper assembly element (48) is connected with a lower side of the plate. An assembly frame (24) has a fastening component (18) for fastening the hob into a cavity (12) of a cooker body (14). The component has a support bracket (20) for supporting the hob at an edge (22) of the cavity. The component has a middle region (30) that is screwed-on to the frame. The middle region exhibits a latching element (26) for producing a latching connection with the frame. The fastening component is manufactured from a steel plate.
