[origin: WO2006039879A1] The invention relates to a door lock for a motor vehicle comprising a central locking drive (1, 2, 3, 4) and a central locking element (5). The central locking element (5) is actuated by the central locking drive (1, 2, 3, 4) and takes up at least the functional positions "locked" and "unlocked". According to the invention, the central locking drive (1, 2, 3, 4) works in a stop-free manner and comprises at least one intermediate element (8; 8', 8"). The intermediate element (8; 8', 8") works on the central locking element (5) and is characterised by an elastic tolerance which enables, when in the functional position, a further movement of the central locking drive (1, 2, 3, 4).
