Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008071281A1] The invention relates to a torsional vibration damper comprising a primary element (4) having at least one primary catch (14, 16), a secondary element (8) having at least one secondary catch (18, 20), at least one spring element (32, 34) between the primary catch (14, 16) and the secondary catch (18, 20) for resiliently coupling the primary element (4) and the secondary element (8) and at least one end block (42) which is arranged at the end of the spring element (32, 34). The primary element (4) can be rotated relative to the secondary element (8) from a neutral position to a first position in which the primary catch (14, 16) is only supported by the spring element (32, 34), and from the first position to a second position in which the primary catch (14, 16) is supported by the spring element (32, 34) and the end block (42). The invention is characterized in that the end block (42) and/or the primary catch (14, 16) are configured in such a manner that the torque of the torsional vibration damper (2) in the first and second position of the primary element (4) can only be transmitted directly between the primary catch (14, 16) and the spring element (32, 34). The invention also relates to a drive train comprising said torsional vibration damper (2).
