[origin: FR2910969A1] In vitro or ex-vivo measurement of factor VIIa (FVIIa) concentration in a sample, comprises: mixing the sample with a human plasma devoid of FVII and other factor e.g. FVIII; adding initiating components of a thrombin generating reaction (TGT) comprising e.g. calcium ions source; conducting TGT on the obtained reaction medium to obtain a thrombinogram; comparing one of the thrombinogram parameters with a homologous parameter of standard thrombinogram; and deducing the comparing step. In vitro or ex-vivo measurement of factor VIIa (FVIIa) concentration in a sample, comprises: mixing the sample with a human plasma devoid of FVII and other factor comprising FVIII, FIX and FXI; adding initiating components of a thrombin generating reaction (TGT) comprising a source of calcium ions, phospholipidic agent and tissue factor; conducting the TGT on the obtained reaction medium to obtain a thrombinogram providing parameters; comparing one of the parameters of the thrombinogram with a homologous parameter of standard thrombinogram, where each standard thrombinogram is obtained with a fixed standard concentration of FVIIa in the reaction medium, in a range of 1 pM-1 nM; and deducing the comparing step, where the measurement of FVIIa concentration of the sample comprises in that range. An independent claim is included for a kit useful for implementing the process comprising a freeze-dried plasma devoid of FVII and other factor comprising FVIII, FIX and FXI, a lyophilizate containing a phospholipidic agent, tissue factor and calcium ions source, and a sample of freeze-dried FVIIa of known concentration for determining a standard thrombinogram parameter.
