[origin: FR2910668A1] The method involves obtaining a sub-assembly of images of a category of objects, where the sub-assembly is associated to a classification characteristic. The distance between an image of the category of objects and the sub-assembly is calculated according to a specific formula having parameters such as distance between an image vector corresponding to the image and vectors of images. The calculated distance is compared with a decision threshold. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device comprising a unit for classifying an image of an object belonging to a category of objects (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a image classifying method.
