[origin: WO2008077260A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for conveying planar products (10, 10', 20, 20'), in particular printing products, wherein a product group (100) composed of at least two products (10, 10', 20, 20') are gripped in the area of a product edge (12, 12', 22, 22') by a gripper (42) of a gripper conveyor (40), and conveyed in a direction of conveyance (F2). According to the invention, at least one of the products (10, 10', 20, 20') is displaced with respect to the other product(s) (10, 10', 20, 20') of the product group (100) in a displacement direction (A) defined by the product edge (12, 12', 22, 22') being gripped, in such a way that a projection (14, 24) is made in the displacement direction (A). A first projection (14) is thus associated with the at least one displaced product (10, 10', 20, 20') of the product group (100), and a second projection (24) is associated with the other product(s) (10, 10', 20, 20') of the product group (100). The invention enables the increase of conveying capacity for gripper conveyors in a simple manner and, when applicable, a simple later separation of the products gripped in groups.
