Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008049591A2] The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for filling bottles (2), in particular with still water, with a product feed via a filling valve (4), which is seated on the head of the bottle, and with a degassing line (12) for the removal from the inside of the bottle of air displaced by the filling operation, wherein the valve body (7) is designed such that it can be raised and lowered by means of a lifting wheel (8) guided via a slotted link surface (9), this apparatus being intended to ensure that the filling operation is as sterile as possible, i.e. to minimize the access of bacteria to the filling head of the bottles. This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the valve body (7) provided with a through bore (11) for the displaced air is provided at its free end with an immovably connected guide cylinder (15) which extends the through bore and which is enclosed at a distance by a movable annular body (18), wherein a liquid-tight elastic sleeve is provided between the free end of the valve body and that edge of the movable annular body which faces this end.
