[origin: WO2008074580A1] The invention relates to a method for measuring the operating temperature especially of a drive for a laundry machine. According to said method, the winding resistance of the motor proportional to the operating temperature is measured, and the winding resistances in the idle state and in the operating state are compared. The method according to the invention takes into account the operating temperature of the winding in a simple manner and enables more precise and more reliable measuring values to be obtained than the known methods. To this end, the rotational speed control (4) is carried out by a tachymetric generator (1) which is physically connected to the motor in a rotationally fixed manner, and the value of the operating temperature of the motor is derived from values of the winding resistance of the tachymetric generator (1) which are determined taking into account measured electrical operating variables (current, voltage, frequency).
