Abstract (en)
In a process to fabricate a complex core for a metal casting process, the core is created by the introduction of a form skin-system into an engraved core box. In a first stage the core box engraved inner surface is coated with a soluble binding agent and a soluble core (14) is inserted into the core box void. Molten material is then introduced to the remaining voids to form an unfinished core form (17). In a second stage the first core (14) is dissolved and the core form surfaces are cleaned. The binding agent is an inorganic water-soluble substance. The soluble core (14) is removed by a combination of water and compressed air, also cleaning the surfaces of the unfinished unfinished form (17). The unfinished raw forms (17) are subsequently cleaned by a machine process.

Ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von in der Gießereitechnik verwendeten, zur Ausbildung von Durchbrüchen oder Hohlräumen an einem Gußstück dienenden festen Kernen, wobei die Kerne durch Einbringen eines Formstoff-Bindersystems in einen mit der Form des Kerns entsprechenden Gravuren versehenen Kernkasten hergestellt werden ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass zur Ausbildung komplexerer Kerngeometrien gesonderte, unter Verwendung eines auflösbaren Bindersystems aus einem Formstoff hergestellte Einlegekerne (14) in die Gravuren des Kernkastens eingelegt und durch Einbringen des ein unlösbares Bindersystem aufweisenden Formstoffgemisches zum Bestandteil von in einem ersten Verfahrensschritt gebildeten Rohkernen (17) werden und dass anschließend die Einlegekerne (14) mittels einer auf das verwendete auflösbare Bindersystem abgestellten Behandlung aufgelöst und die von den Einlegekernen (14) zunächst abgedeckten Teilflächen (16) der Rohkerne (17) gereinigt werden.
