[origin: EP2103560A2] The device has a rotary support (5) comprising a horizontal axis for a spool (6) containing a band (9). A feedthrough (13) is provided for allowing free ends of the band to pass through. A separation point is provided for separating and/or cutting the band between two weights. The separating point is arranged at a side of the feedthrough, where the side is turned away from the support. The support is formed in such a manner that the spool is attached and/or removed to/from the support. The feedthrough is arranged in an area of an upper side of the spool.
