Abstract (en)
A seal has a sealing profile (1) and contains a sealing foot for insertion into a slot on the door- or window-frame, and a foam strip (10). The sealing profile (1) has a salience (8) molded on the sealing foot (2) and serves to accommodate the foam strip (10), which contains an intumescing material which undergoes an increase in volume during temperature action, and has a device (11) which joins the foam strip (10) with the salience (8).

Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Brandschutzdichtung für Tür- und Fensterzargen mit einem Dichtungsprofil (1), welches einen Dichtungsfuss (2) beinhaltet, der in eine an der Tür- oder Fensterzarge (14) vorgesehene Nut (17) einsetzbar ist. Das Dichtungsprofil (1) weist einen am Dichtungsfuss (2) angeformten Fortsatz (8) auf, der zur Aufnahme eines Schäumstreifens (10) bestimmt ist. Der Schäumstreifen (10) enthält ein intumeszierendes Material, das bei Temperatureinwirkung einer Volumenvergrösserung unterliegt. Dieser Schäumstreifen (10) ist fest mit dem Fortsatz (8) verbunden.
