The washing machine includes a tub, a drum disposed inside the tub, a shaft coupled to the drum, a bearing supporting the shaft, a bearing housing supporting the bearing, and a base secured to the tub. The bearing housing has a rear end protruding from a rear wall of the tub, and the tub has an extension facing an outer peripheral surface of the rear end of the bearing housing.
