[origin: WO2008088252A1] The invention discloses a method (700) for use in a wireless access (100) comprising a base station (120, 800) and a cell (110) which can accommodate a first user terminal (130, 140). In the system, the first user terminal (130, 140) can be scheduled for receiving traffic from the base station (120) during a down link interval, and the first user terminal (130, 140) can be scheduled for transmitting traffic to the base station (120, 800) during an up link interval, with a guard period between them. According to the invention, the method (700) comprises the step (710) of obtaining a certain characteristic of the first user terminal which is relevant to the guard period, and the step (720) of making the scheduling in at least one of the intervals based upon the measured characteristic of the first user terminal (130, 140).
