Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2908673A1] Apparatus for drying mineral particles comprises a vertical upflow pipe (1) with a bottom inlet for gas, a side inlet (4) for the particles, a top outlet (3) for gas and entrained fines, a bottom outlet (2) for coarser particles, and turbulence-creating baffles (5) between the bottom outlet and the side inlet. An independent claim is also included for a continuous grinding plant of the closed circuit type, comprising a grinder, drying apparatus as above in which the coarser particles are recycled to the grinder, a separator for removing oversize particles from and recycling them to the grinder, and a filter for separating fine product particles from the gas.
