[origin: GB2446009A] A self-propelled or foot-propelled vehicle such as a tricycle (fig 1), bicycle or scooter comprises a seat 40 that has illuminating means such as a string of LEDs 45. The seat 40 can be a one piece plastics moulding and coloured lights 45 can be positioned around the periphery 71, 72, 76, 77 of its back 75 and base 70. The lights can be powered by batteries in a compartment (fig 6, 80) and controlled by a switch (fig 7, 90) that can select continuous lighting or an electronically controlled sequence. The vehicle may be used by infants and the lighting arrangement can improve its visibility, thus promoting safety.
