The inventive headbox (1) is characterized in that the headbox nozzle (3) is constructed symmetrically or approximately symmetrically, in that the upper orifice (8) is disposed on the outlet side of the upper nozzle wall (4) in such a way that it can be positioned, in that the lower orifice (9) is disposed on the outlet side of the lower nozzle wall (5), preferably in such a way that it can be positioned, and in that the orifice flow length (SL.9) of the orifice flow surface (SF.9) of the lower orifice (9) is selected to be > the orifice flow length (SL.8) of the orifice flow surface (SF.8) of the upper orifice (9) in such a way that the lower orifice (9) forms a lower lip (10), with a lower lip projection (L.10) ranging from 0 to 32 mm, according to the clear width or widths of the gap.
