[origin: EP2107028A2] The device (13) has a fixing-and rotation device for positioning and rotating feed cups (17) in a preparing direction during preparation of a spinning cop (19) using magnetic force-effect. The rotation device is arranged below a transport path e.g. transverse transport path (6), for the feed cups. A middle axis of the rotation device corresponds with a middle axis of each cup. The feed cups are magnetically positioned in a preset position. The rotation device has a rotary disk made of ferromagnetic material, and has a ring made of aluminum.
