Abstract (en)

The method involves providing a web of soft, open-cell foam (4), and impregnating the foam to delay recovery of the foam after compression and subsequent release. A loans web is rolled up onto a wide roll, and the wide roll is cut into narrow sealing strip rolls, and each sealing strip roll is unwounded. A thin, closed layer (8) of a flexible or film-like material is applied and bonded to a side surface of the foam. The foam provided with the thin closed layer is rolled up into a sealing strip roll (2) in which the foam is present in a partially compressed state. An independent claim is also included for a sealing strip roll with a partially compressed, open- cell, sod foam which undergoes delayed recovery after compression and subsequent release.

Die Dichtbandrolle weist einen teilkomprimierten offenzelligen weichen Schaumstoff (4) auf, der nach Komprimierung bei Freigabe eine verzögerte Rückstellung vollzieht. Auf mindestens einer Seitenfläche des Schaumstoffs (4) ist eine dünne geschlossene Schicht (8) aus einem flexiblen oder folienartigen Material mit einer Dicke von 0,002 mm bis 0,5 mm durchgängig auf dem Schaumstoff (4) verhaftet.
