Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2911296A1] The tool has U shaped jaws (22, 26) made of thick steel plates and provided with two sections (28, 30, 34, 36) which are parallel to one another, respectively. The sections are connected by intermediate sections (32, 38) which are perpendicular to the sections, respectively. The sections cooperate with ends of an elastic clamping collar for assembling and disassembling of the collar. The intermediate sections and sections are arranged on two different predetermined general gripping orientations with respect to the jaws. An independent claim is also included for an assembly formed with an elastic clamping collar.
