Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008086212A1] A battery module that includes a first group of cells, each of the cells having a first end and a second end. The first end has a positive terminal and a negative terminal. The battery module further includes a first frame member configured to receive the first ends of the cells and a second frame member spaced apart from and substantially parallel to the first frame member. The second frame member is configured to receive the second ends of the cells. The battery module still further includes a member coupled to the terminals of the cells. The member includes a plurality of buss bars coupled to a first side of the member, the buss bars having holes to receive the terminals of the cells, wherein the individual buss bars connect a terminal of a first cell to a terminal of a second cell.
