Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2110448A2] Heat treatment of a workpiece in a continuous furnace (10) comprises transporting it through the furnace to the point where a section (22) of it projects outside the furnace. The conveyor (30) is then stopped and the section (21) of the workpiece inside the furnace is further treated before the conveyor is started again. An independent claim is included for a continuous furnace for carrying out the method which has a conveyor fitted with a control system for stopping and starting it.
