[origin: WO2008083956A2] The invention relates to a previously known piece of seating furniture comprising a seat and at least one base part which is pivotable about an approximately vertical swiveling axis that is arranged in the area around a front corner of the seat and has an inclined position relative to the vertical line from at least one perspective. According to the invention, the swiveling axis has a heavily inclined position relative to the vertical line from a front view. Said inclined position extends internally from an edge of the seat in a downward direction. The base part extends at an angle from the edge of the seat towards a floor in the initial position thereof. Use for upholstered furniture.
