[origin: WO2008089915A1] Bar feeding device (10) for feeding bars of material to a machine tool, comprising guiding elements (92 - 102) for guiding bars of material, wherein the guiding elements are displaceable transversely in relation to a longitudinal axis (29) for guiding bars of material with different diameters. It is proposed that each guiding element is formed as an axial longitudinal portion of a guiding tube completely enclosing a guiding channel, and that the guiding elements (92 to 102) can be alternately displaced transversely in relation to the longitudinal axis (29) to reduce the effective cross section of the guiding channel.
