[origin: WO2008058872A2] The invention relates to a method and a device for measuring the total pressure of a flow. According to the invention the device includes a Pitot tube (25), means for measuring the total pressure at a fluid stop point (4, 12), and means for comparing the pressures measured by the Pitot tube (25) and by the means for measuring the total pressure at a fluid stop point (4, 12), wherein the Pitot tube (25) and the means for measuring the total pressure at a fluid stop point (4, 12) are connected together and sample air currents from the flow along the same axis (7). The method that uses said device comprises comparing the measured pressures and, if the difference between the two measured pressures is higher than a predetermined deviation, generating an alarm indicating that only the higher pressure is liable to be correct.
