Abstract (en)
The press has a printing plate storage i.e. cartridge (20), for a printing unit (14) and a conveyor device i.e. cartridge conveyor (23), for automatically moving the storage. The storage is movable between two positions, where the storage is arranged at a distance away from the unit in one of the positions for receiving printing plates in the unit. The storage is arranged at the unit in other position for automatically removing and/or retaining the plates from and/or in the storage. A memory device physically attached to the cartridge is formed as a radio frequency identification tag. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a rotary printing press (2) a method for handling a printing plate.

Rollendruckmaschine, Verfahren zur Handhabung von Druckplatten und Verfahren zum Betreiben der Rollendruckmaschine, wobei die Druckmaschine wenigstens eine mit einer automatischen Druckplatten-Wechseleinrichtung versehene Druckeinheit (14) aufweist, wobei die Druckplatten-Wechseleinrichtung wenigstens einen Druckplattenspeicher (20) für die Druckeinheit und eine Fördereinrichtung (19,23,24) aufweist zum automatischen und geführten Verfahren des Druckplattenspeichers (20) entlang einer Förderstrecke, und wobei der Druckplattenspeicher entlang der Förderstrecke zwischen einer ersten Position, in der er entfernt von der Druckeinheit (14) angeordnet ist zum automatischen Aufnehmen und/oder Entnehmen von Druckplatten in bzw. aus dem Druckplattenspeicher, und einer zweiten Position verlagerbar ist, in der er an der Druckeinheit (14) angeordnet ist zum automatischen Entnehmen und/oder Aufnehmen von Druckplatten aus bzw. in dem Druckplattenspeicher.
