The compressor has a stator blade row comprising a blade (8) that is designed as a rotating unit (6), where the rotating unit has a drive shaft (10) and supported in a housing (2). The rotating unit is rotatable completely around a drive axis (26) of the blade by a drive (11) and the drive shaft, where the drive axis is aligned perpendicular to a rotational axis (27) of the axial compressor. The blade is connected with a tilting motor, and a bar leads from the housing to an inner shroud to form a closed area with the blade for the compression of gas.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Axialkompressor mit mindestens einer Statorschaufelreihe (18), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass mindestens eine Schaufel (8) der Statorschaufelreihe (18) als eine rotierende Einheit (6) ausgebildet ist, wobei die rotierende Einheit (6) vollständig um eine Antriebsachse (26) rotierbar ist, und wobei die Antriebsachse (26) im Wesentlichen senkrecht zu einer Axialkompressorrotationsachse (27) ist.
