[origin: WO2008092623A1] The invention relates to a hair-removal device (100) comprising a base body (10) and a sliding element (20) that is displaceably mounted on said body. A wet-shaving unit (40) such as a wet-shave blade cartridge that surrounds at least one razor blade is mounted on the sliding element. The displacement ability of the sliding element (20) protects said wet-shaving unit (40) if the hair-removal device suffers an impact, for example falls on the ground. Specific target positions of the sliding element (20) can be fixed in a friction coupling in such a way that they are unlocked when an active minimum force is exceeded, permitting the displacement of the sliding element.
