[origin: WO2009108973A1] A building (1) with a rectangular ground plan has a number of smaller rooms (5) on one side and a larger room (3) on the other side and a corridor (20) in between. The floor members in the region of the smaller rooms (5) are oriented in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the building and the floor members (8) in the region of the large room are oriented transversely to the longitudinal extent of the building (1). The rooms (5) are bounded by load-bearing partition walls (6) and by two, likewise load-bearing, exterior walls (7). Provided between the rooms (5) and the room (3) of the building (1) is a load-bearing longitudinal wall (18). The exterior longitudinal wall (9) of the building (1) situated alongside the smaller rooms (5) is a non-load-bearing wall, whereas the exterior wall (11) on the side of the large room (3) is a load-bearing exterior wall.
