Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008095752A1] The present invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle (1) which has, as components, a drive means (2), an exhaust-gas system (3) for exhaust gases (6) of the drive means (2) with at least one heating apparatus (4) and at least one energy converter (11). The method comprises at least the following steps: (a) detection of a possibility for energy recovery, (b) activation of the at least one energy converter (11), (c) feeding of the energy which is recovered by the at least one energy converter (11) to the heating apparatus (4), (d) operating of the heating apparatus (4) for heating the exhaust gas (6) with the recovered energy, and (e) detection of an end of the possibility for energy recovery, after which the energy converter (11) is deactivated and the provision of the recovered energy is ended.
