[origin: WO2008095668A1] The invention relates to a junction box and connecting box for a photovoltaic solar module having flexible flat conductor strips that protrude from the surface of the solar module. The junction box and connecting box comprise, on its side facing the solar module when assembled, an introduction opening for at least one flexible flat conductor strip of the solar module and a housing for installing on the solar module and a junction device that is arranged in the housing for the flexible flat conductor strip. Said junction device comprises an electric contact clip that is closed when the box is installed on the solar module and which intercepts the flat conductor strip and establishes contact therewith.
