Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008092662A1] The invention relates to a method for transmitting data via a communications link (12) between at least two communications devices, each of said devices being connected to a data carrier (2, 16). Said method is characterised in that once the link has been accepted, at least one data carrier establishes a link to at least one other data carrier for the transmission of data. In order to retrieve data from the other data carrier, the data carrier establishing the link first identifies itself once the communications link has been established and then the requested data is transmitted to the data carrier making the request in accordance with a rights management system (6, 20) contained in each data carrier, said system determining which other data carriers have access rights to data of the data carrier and which data this involves. The data carriers negotiate a transmission key prior to transmission and after said negotiation the data to be transmitted is transmitted in encrypted form. The invention also relates to a device that corresponds to said method.
