[origin: EP2117028A1] The device e.g. differential circuit breaker (1), has a main surface (7) and another main surface that are obviously parallel with respect to each other. A neutral terminal (31) and a phase terminal (32) are opened onto connection surfaces (9, 10). An opening (33) on the connection surface (9) is deported with respect to a connection axis (38), where the opening crosses a separation plane (26) between a neutral and phase cutting module (2) and a differential protection module (3). Each module has a predetermined width based on modularity of the device.
