Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2911536A1] The method involves extruding VOLTALEF(RTM: commercial polychlorotrifluoroethylene) (PCTFE) using an extruder that is connected to an assembly (1) consisting a die (3) and a metal conformator (2). A polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tube (6) is placed between an internal metallic wall of the conformator and the PCTFE such that friction of the PCTFE with the tube is lower than that of the PCTFE with metal of the conformator. A brake device placed in front of the conformator exerts pressure on an extruded polychlorotrifluoroethylene string.
