[origin: WO2007104488A1] The present invention relates to a printing press having a printing unit (2) which has at least one roll (1) and an impression cylinder, wherein the roll (1) is mounted rotatably on a frame (5) on opposite sides (3, 4) by means of two bearings (6, 15) and wherein a setting apparatus (12, 26) is provided for setting the position of the roll (1) relative to the impression cylinder. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for setting the position of the printing unit (2) of a printing press, in which at least one roll (1) of the printing unit (2) is oriented substantially parallel to an impression cylinder of the printing unit (2) by adjustment of the bearings (6, 15) on opposite sides (3, 4) of the roll (1). It is proposed to separate the setting of the position of the two bearing sides (3, 4) of a respective printing unit roll (1) from one another and to set first of all one bearing side (3) and then the opposite bearing side (4) one after another.
