[origin: WO2008111842A1] The present invention concerns a system for applying asphalt to a surface with a receiving unit (4) for asphalt and an asphalt feeding unit (3). A surface treatment unit (1) for removal of liquid, snow, foreign bodies or ice is placed between the asphalt feeding unit (3), and the receiving unit (4) for the asphalt. Furthermore it is described a surface treatment unit (1 ) for treatment and removal of liquid, snow, foreign bodies or ice from a surface that is to be applied with a width of asphalt layer in addition to a method for applying asphalt.
