Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008108629A2] A false wall in particular for sanitary spaces is placed at a distance from a rear wall. The false wall comprises a frame and one or more covering panels having a visible side and a back side that is connected to the frame. The frame comprises at least one base profile of C-shaped or U-shaped cross section, which base profile is positioned on a floor at a distance from the rear wall. A plastic profile is preferably arranged beneath the floor profile. Furthermore, the frame comprises a wall profile of C-shaped cross section, which wall profile is arranged substantially horizontally on a rear wall. A plurality of upright profiles extend substantially vertically upwards from the base profile and at a top end thereof are connected to the wall profile by means of a connecting part. On the back side, the covering panels are provided with one or more threaded rods extending in the direction of the rear wall, and each of the upright profiles has attached to it a clamping plate with an opening for the threaded rod to be fitted through and tightened by means of a nut or the like. A joint profile, which comprises a joint piece as well as sealing lips and a back strip is arranged between two adjacent covering panels. The joint profile is fixed by the back strip, in the assembled state, being clamped between the back side of at least one of the said adjacent covering panels and the upright profile.
