[origin: WO2008110240A1] A method is described for filling a storage container with a gaseous medium under pressure, preferably with gaseous hydrogen under pressure. According to the invention, at the beginning of the filling process, the internal pressure of the storage container is determined by means of a test blow, followed by a filling process with a time-controlled increase in pressure, dependent upon the internal pressure of the storage container that was detected, up to the desired internal pressure of the storage container.
